Arkansas and Temple were new teams in Friday’s bracket, but they’re gone as soon as they arrived. Both took pretty rough losses yesterday – Arkansas to South Carolina, Temple to Tulsa – and both fell fairly far out, now not even in the First Four Out. Butler & Seton Hall continue their yoyoing, now both back in the field, both at 5-6 in the Big East after wins yesterday.
On the autobid side, there was a thriller in the Southland Conference yesterday between Sam Houston State and Abilene Christian. That was won by SHSU – they’re still undefeated in conference play, one of only five teams in the country who can say so. Due to that win, BracketBot now estimates that they’d beat ACU on a neutral floor, so they’ve nabbed the conference’s bid.
Last Four Byes: Alabama, St John’s, Indiana, Ole Miss
Last Four In: Minnesota, Butler, Seton Hall, Nebraska
